In these Regulations, any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned by the Act, has that meaning and, unless the context indicates otherwise-
"agreement"
means the agreement between the Head of Department and the school governing body as contemplated in section 4 of the Act;
"centre governing body"
means a body contemplated in section 8 of the Act;
"Head of Department"
means the head of a provincial department of education;
"school governing body"
means a body as contemplated in section 16(1) of the South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of 1996);
"the Act"
means the Adult Basic Education and Training Act, 2000 (Act No. 52 of 2000) and regulations promulgated in terms of the Act.
