(1) | A person may not sell pulses in the Republic of South Africa – |
(a) | unless the pulse concerned are sold according to the classes prescribed in regulation 4; |
(b) | unless the pulse concerned comply with the standards for classes prescribed in regulation 5; |
(c) | unless the pulse concerned comply with the standards for grades prescribed in regulation 6; |
(d) | unless the pulse concerned are packed in type of containers and in the manner prescribed in regulations 7 and 8; |
(e) | unless the pulse concerned are marked with the particulars and in the manner prescribed in regulations 9, 10 and 11; |
(f) | if the pulse concerned contain a substance that has thus been prescribed as a substance which it may not contain; |
(g) | if the pulse concerned are packed in a container or in such a manner that has thus been prescribed as a container or a manner in which it may not be packed; and |
(h) | if the pulse concerned are marked with particulars or in such a manner that has thus been prescribed as particulars or manner in which it may not be marked. |
(2) | The Executive Officer may grant written exemption, entirely or partially, to any person on such conditions as he or she deems necessary, from the provisions of subregulation (1). |
