2. Excercising of powers and carrying out of duties by director

(1)The director of the Directorate of Animal Health of the department, who shall be a veterinarian, shall exercise the powers and perform the duties conferred or imposed upon the director by or under this Act.

(2)The director shall exercise his powers and perform his duties with due regard to any instructions issued by the Minister.

 

(3)
(a)Any power conferred or duty imposed upon the director may be exercised or performed by the director personally or by an officer under a delegation from or under the control of the director.
(b)Any decision made by any such officer may be withdrawn or amended by the director, and shall, until it has been so withdrawn, be deemed, except for the purposes of this paragraph, to have been made by the director.
