To indicate tuberculosis infection in a bovine

T

Left side of neck.

To indicate brucellosis infection in a bovine

C

Right side of neck.

To identify an animal with regard to which a foot and mouth disease control measure apply

Right side of neck.

To identify an animal—

(a) that is infected with a disease other than tuberculosis;  or

(b) to which a control measure other than a foot and mouth disease control measure applies

V

Righ side of neck.

To identify a bovine to be removed from the foot and mouth disease control area east of 280 eastern longitude, and that has not already been marked with "F"

Two symbols that respectively indicate the month and year of removal of the animal concerned and which consists of  L for 1, ˩ for 2, ˥ for 3, Γ  for 4, V for 5, ᐳ for 6, ᐱ for 7, ᐸ for 8, ᑌ for 9,  ᑐ for 10, ᑎ for 11, and  ᑕ for 12,
