3bis. Benefits or rights in respect of benefits not cedable or subject to execution

(1)[Section 3bis(1) repealed by the General Pensions Act, 1979 (Act No. 29 of 1979) Laws Repealed Schedule, Notice No. 746, GG6390, dated 5 April 1979]

 

(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in any other law—
(a) any amount which is payable by a member of the fund, at the date of his retirement or discharge—
(i) to the Government; or
(ii) to the council in whose service he is at that date; or
(b) any amount which the Government or such council is liable to pay in respect of such member at that date,

may be deducted from any benefit payable from the fund to the said member in a lump sum or in such instalments as the Director-General may determine.
