2.17The Council may appoint as a life member of the society any attorney who has been a practising member of the society for a period of 40 years or more.

 

2.18Any person so appointed:
2.18.1shall not be liable for the payment of any subscription, levy, fee or charge, other than a fine imposed pursuant to a disciplinary enquiry by the Council;
2.18.2if he or she is a practising member, may attend meetings and other gatherings of members, and shall have a right of audience and may vote at any meeting of members; and
2.18.3shall be bound by these rules and shall remain subject to the disciplinary procedures and sanctions of the society.

 

2.19The secretary shall keep a record of the names and addresses of all life members.
