(1) | A holder of an aeronautical cartography certificate shall establish and maintain a training and checking programme for all personnel to ensure that such personnel are adequately trained and qualify to perform their assigned duties. |
(2) | The training and checking programme referred to in subregulation (1) shall be submitted to the Director for approval. |
(3) | The training programme referred to in subregulation (1) shall include a system of record keeping as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 177. |
(4) | A holder of an aeronautical cartography certificate shall publish the training programme referred to in subregulation (1) in the manual of procedure. |
(5) | A holder of an aeronautical cartography certificate shall provide training to its personnel that includes at least the following training components— |
(a) | initial aeronautical cartography training; |
(b) | on the job training; and |
(c) | recurrent aeronautical cartography training at intervals prescribed in Document SA-CATS 177. |
(6) | A holder of an aeronautical cartography certificate shall ensure that— |
(a) | prior to assignment to duty, each person required to receive training in accordance with this Subpart, whether employed on a full-time or part-time basis, receives such training as appropriate to his or her duties; and |
(b) | the training facilities, equipment and personnel are acceptable to the Director and meet the requirements prescribed in Document SA-CATS 177. |
(7) | Only approved training as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 177 shall be considered for the initial and recurrent training referred to in subregulation (5). |
