(1) | The holder of a certificate of airworthiness shall at least 60 days prior to the date of expiry of the certificate, apply for the renewal of such certificate. |
(2) | An application referred to in subregulation (1) shall be made to the Director in the appropriate form and accompanied by the fee prescribed in Part 187. |
(3) | The Director may, on application in terms of subregulation (1), renew the certificate of airworthiness if he or she is satisfied that the applicant complies with the requirements prescribed in Document SA-CATS 21. |
(4) | In a case whereby no application for renewal of certificate of airworthiness has been submitted within a period of 90 days following an expiry of the last certificate, the provisions of regulation 21.08.3 shall apply. |
