34.03.1 Intentional fuel venting and environmental incident management

(1)In the event of intentional fuel venting that results in environmental damage, the responsible person, or where the incident occurred in the course of that person’s employment, his or her employer, shall immediately after becoming aware of the incident, report it to the relevant authority.

 

(2)Subregulation (1), shall be read in conjunction with the applicable sections of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 (Act No. 58 of 2008) and the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998) and the regulations made thereunder.
