(1) | An applicant for the issuing of a Part 96 authorisation shall have demonstrated to an appropriately qualified Grade A flight instructor, the ability to perform, as PIC of an aircraft in the category for which the authorisation is sought, the procedures and maneuvers prescribed in Document SA-CATS 62 with a degree of competency appropriate to the privileges granted to a holder of a Part 96 authorisation. |
(2) | An applicant referred to in subregulation (1) shall undergo a skills test referred to in subregulation (1) within six months of passing the theoretical knowledge examination referred to in regulation 62.14.5 and within the 90 days immediately preceding the date of application. |
