72. Conveyance of injured and diseased employee

(1)If an employee meets with an accident which necessitates his conveyance to a hospital or medical practitioner or from a hospital or medical practitioner to his residence, his employer shall forthwith make the necessary conveyance available.

 

(2)The Commissioner or the employer individually liable or licensee concerned, as the case may be, may pay the reasonable cost incurred in respect of that conveyance.

(3)Any employer who fails to comply with subsection (1) shall be liable to a penalty equal to the full cost of conveyance.
