FEET


SACH

The external keel of a foot prosthesis is the firm part on the bottom of the prosthesis, extending from the heel to the toe, The keel is both a structural support and a shock absorber as the patient transfers weight from heel to toe while walking, The SACH foot has a rubber heel wedge that lets the ankle move by compressing under weight bearing during the start of stance walking phase. It is available in different heel heights allowing wearing with various types of shoes,


SACH composite

Flexible keel prosthetic feet are more advanced than solid ankle cushioned heel or SACH feet, However, they do not return energy in the way a dynamic response foot would, It offers cushioning and absorption of energy but does not store and return the same amount of energy,


Single axis

An articulated single axis foot and ankle prosthesis uses a hinge to allow the ankle to dorsiflex and plantar flex, or move up and down, Single axis feet do this with a hinge in the prosthesis at about the location of the transverse tarsal joint on the human foot, Because the prosthesis moves in a single axis, specifically up and down, movement is in the sagittal plane only, Single axis feet differ from solid ankle cushion heel foot, or SACH, feet in several ways,


Multi axis

A multi axial foot can move in multiple planes of direction, providing Its user the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, This differs from a single axis foot prosthesis that allows only plantar flexion and dorsiflexion in the sagittal plane, This design allows the forefoot of the foot or ankle mechanism to move appropriately on uneven surfaces, much as a human foot would,


ESAR

The foot uses a carbon and/or nylon flexible internal keel, a firm yet flexible plate located   inside the sole of the prosthesis, extending from the heel to the toe, The keel is both a structural support and a shock absorber as the patient transfers weight from heel to toe while walking,The dual spring action of the keel gives a smooth transition from heel to toe as the foot moves through a walking gait,giving additional stability and confidence to its wearer,


Active suspension

Elevated vacuum suspension which controls and reduces volume fluctuations during ambulation, The suspension is a mechanism which incorporates the foot and socket suction suspension to achieve the desired elevated vacuum,


Axial rotation

An axial rotation unit allows a prosthetic limb to twist to the right or the left,helping people   walk more naturally, The axial rotation accommodate rotational forces during heel strike, mid stance, terminal stance and pre-swing, Properly functioning axial rotation devices allow a socket to relieve pressure on the stump as the patient moves,


Low profile

Decreased build height which accommodates longer residual limbs with limited ground clearance


ESAR - multi axial

A multi axial foot primarily manufactured out of carbon fiber which can move in multiple planes of direction, providing its user the ability to walk on uneven surfaces, This design allows the forefoot of the foot or ankle mechanism to move appropriately on uneven surfaces, much as a human foot would,


Carbon pylon

One end of the pylon directly fits into the residual limb socket, and the other end fits into the prosthetic foot,The aim of the prosthetic pylon is to store and release energy additional energy to the user, The pylon also acts as a shock absorber,


Heel adjustable

This code describes prosthetic foot with a heel height that the patient can adjust to the desired angle, Not only does this benefit a patient cosmetically by allowing adjustment to the prosthetic heel to the shoe heel height, but it can also help foot balance and support the knee,improving the patient's gait,


ESAR multi composite
