14. Extension of validity of consents

(1)If a proposed soil conservation work will probably not be completed in time to ensure that a notice referred to in section 13(1) can be furnished on or before the expiry date referred to in section 13(2)(c), the executive officer may on application postpone that expiry date.

 

(2)The provisions of section 12 with regard to an application for a consent to construct a proposed soil conservation work shall apply mutatis mutandis with regard to an application for the postponement of the expiry date specified in such consent: Provided that such application shall reach the extension officer concerned not later that the expiry date specified in the consent concerned.

 

(3)When the executive officer approves an application for the postponement of the expiry date specified in a consent referred to in section 12, he shall issue a fresh consent for the construction of the proposed soil conservation work concerned.
