6. Committee may require returns

1)To enable the committee properly to perform its functions, it may by notice in writing direct any person to furnish the committee, within a period specified in the notice, or from time to time at the times or within the periods so specified, with a written return showing in detail such information in respect of the business or activities of that person as may be specified in the notice, including information regarding--
a)any agreement which that person may at any time have entered into or intend to enter into with any other person, or in which he may at any time have been concerned;
b)any arrangement or understanding to which that person or any business in which he is or was concerned. may be or may at any time have been a party.

 

2)No person shall in a notice under subsection (1) be directed to furnish the committee with a return specified in that notice within a period of less than seven days after the date of the notice.

 

3)Any person who fails to comply with a notice under subsection (1), or who in response to such a notice knowingly furnishes information which is false in a material respect, shall be guilty of an offence.
