(1) | A permit-holder cannot discontinue the transport of passengers unless 30 days’ written notice has been given to the Chief Executive Officer delivered by hand or by registered post: Provided that the Chief Executive Officer may authorise the permit-holder to discontinue the transport of passengers within a shorter period. |
(2) | A permit-holder must within 10 days of a notice in terms of subsection (1) return the permit to the Chief Executive Officer by delivering it by hand or by registered post. |
(3) | If a permit-holder suspends the service of passenger transport for longer than 14 days, he or she must within 48 hours of such suspension or the resumption of the service inform the Chief Executive Officer in writing by delivering such notice by hand or by registered post. |
