(1) | A member of the NIOC referred to in section 4(1)(j) who is not a government official, an office bearer as referred to in section 1 of the Independent Commission for the Remuneration of Public Office-bearers Act, 1997 (Act No. 92 of 1997) or a member of any institution referred to in Chapter 9 of the Constitution, may receive an allowance as may be determined by the Minister by notice in the Gazette after consultation with the Minister responsible for finance. |
(2) | The NIOC is responsible for the travel and accommodation expenditure related to the work of the NIOC of any member referred to in section 4(1)(j), except if such a member is a government official. |
