17. Disclosure of information

17.1No person shall disclose any information obtained by himself or herself in the performance of their functions in terms of the provisions of Chapter 8 of the Regulations or these Directions, except—
17.1.1to the extent to which it may be necessary for the proper administration of a provision of the Regulations or these Directions;or
17.1.2for the purposes of the administration of justice; or
17.1.3at the request of the Minister or any other person entitled thereto.

 

17.2 A medical or other registered health practitioner may disclose information that is necessary for the proper administration of a provision of the Regulations or these Directions, notwithstanding any other law that may otherwise prohibit such disclosure.
