| (1) | This Act applies to every election of the National Assembly and of a provincial legislature. |
| (2) | This Act applies to an election of a municipal council or a by-election for such council only to the extent stated in the Local Government: Municipal Electoral Act, 2000 (Act No. 27 of 2000). |
