The Authority is grateful for all the comments and contributions received in strengthening the regulations and ensuring that the objective of promoting efficient spectrum usage, among others, is achieved. It is apparent that our spectrum pricing principles needed some overhauling and that AlP as a worldwide methodology of pricing spectrum is long overdue. The regulations also come at a time when Cabinet has approved a Radio Frequency Spectrum Policy whose spectrum pricing principles have been incorporated into the regulations.

The Authority will work on an implementation plan and will give operators enough time to adjust to the new regulations before they become operational.
