1. Definitions

In these Regulations, any word or expression has the meaning assigned in the Electronic Communications Act, Act No. 36 of 2005, unless otherwise specified:

 

"Act"

means the Electronic Communications Act, 2005 (Act No. 36 of 2005)

 

"applicant"

means an application:

(a)for an Individual Licence;
(b)to amend an Individual Licence;
(c)to renew an Individual Licence;
(d)to transfer or to transfer control of an Individual Licence; or
(e)for a Special Temporary Authorisation

"fees"

means the applicable fees as may be prescribed and payable by an applicant.

 

"historically disadvantaged persons"

"licence"

means an individual licence;

 

"ITA"

means an invitation to apply for an individual Licence issued by the Authority in terms of section 9(1) of the Act;

 

"these Regulations"

includes any Schedule and Forms annexed to these Regulations;

 

"transfer"

means assign, cede or transfer or transfer of control of a licence from one person to another.
