Chapter IV : Entry, inspection and gathering of information by Gas Regulator

35. Transitional provisions

(1)Any person owning or operating gas facilities or trading in gas prior to the commencement of this Act must, within six months after the commencement, submit to the Gas Regulator an application for a licence in terms of this Act.

 

(2)
(a)The Gas Regulator must grant a licence contemplated in subsection (1), unless it finds that the applicant is unable or unwilling to own or operate gas facilities or to trade in gas in a manner consistent with the objectives and provisions of this Act.
(b)Any licence issued in terms of paragraph (a) must for all purposes be regarded as a licence issued in terms of section 19.
