Regulations

Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with any provision of these regulations shall be guilty of an offence and liable—

a)	on a first conviction, to a fine not exceeding R500 or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or to both such fine and such imprisonment;

b)	on a second conviction, to a fine not exceeding R1 000 or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 12 months or to both such fine and such imprisonment; and

c)	on a third or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding R2 000 or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 24 months or to both such fine and such imprisonment.
