Regulations Relating to the Registration of Audiology Students, 2017

1. Definitions

In these regulations "Act" means the Health Professions Act, 1974 (Act No. 56 of 1974), and any expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act, shall bear that meaning, unless inconsistent with the context —

 

"accredited educational institution"

means an educational institution accredited by the professional board to offer training and education in audiology;

 

"professional board"

means the Professional Board for Speech, Language and Hearing Professions established in terms of section 15 of the Act; and

 

"student"

means a person studying audiology at an accredited educational institution, or a person registered as a student in audiology in terms of the Act;
