Regulations relating to the Specialities and Subspecialities in Medicine and Dentistry

5. Registered Medical or Dental practitioner

(1) Subject to subregulation (2), a medical practitioner or dentist may only be registered as a specialist in one speciality and one subspeciality, and no medical practitioner or dentist shall practise in more than one speciality or subspeciality simultaneously, except for the specialities which are deemed to be related specialities.

 

(2) A medical practitioner who has complied with the relevant requirements in regulation 6, may be registered as a specialist in one or more of the following related specialities and may practise therein:

 

Pathology (Anatomical)

 

Pathology (Chemical)

 

Pathology (Clinical)

 

Pathology (Forensic)

 

Pathology (Haematological)

 

Pathology (Microbiological)

 

Pathology (Virological)
