1. Definitions

(1)In these Regulations any word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall have that meaning and unless the context otherwise indicates—

 

"Department"

means the Department of Home Affairs;

 

"instructions"

means the instructions issued by the Director-General in terms of section 22(1)(c) of the Act;

 

"the Act"

means the Identification Act, 1997 (Act No. 68 of 1997)

 

(2)Any form referred to in these Regulations will be the form as prescribed in the English text to these regulations.
