3. Application of Act

(1)Subject to subsection (2), this Act applies to all economic activity within, or having an effect within, the Republic.

 

(2)Sections 6, 26(1)(a) and 26(2)(a) and Part B of Chapter 4 do not apply to the export or import of goods in respect of which the Minister of Defence has issued a notice in terms of section 4C(1) of the Armaments Development and Production Act, 1968 (Act 57 of 1968), prohibiting the—
(a)export or import of those goods; or
(b)export or import of those goods except under authority of and in accordance with the conditions stated in a permit referred to in section 4C(1)(a)(ii) or (vi) of that Act.
