Clause 39 - Fixed term contracts of Employment

(1) A fixed term employment contract may not be entered into for a period longer than six (6) consecutive months, subject to the terms and conditions as stipulated in sections 198A to 198D of the Act.

 

(2) For all fixed term contracts only contributions and contemplated in terms of clause 42 (1) and 45 are applicable for the first six (6) months.

 

(3) For all learnerships only contributions and deductions contemplated in terms of clause 42 (1) and 45 are applicable for the duration of the learnership.
