19. Informing Employer of Absence and Proof of Incapacity

19.1Where an Employee is unable to attend work as a result of ill health, the Employee shall be obliged to inform the Employer of this fact within 24 hours of taking ill.

 

19.2The Employee shall submit a sick certificate, signed by a medical practitioner who is registered with a professional council established by an Act of Parliament to his Employer, stating the nature of the illness and the duration of Employee's absence.

 

19.3This sick certificate shall be submitted within 48 hours of the Employee going absent due to illness.
