17. Association of employees

A trade union must be an association of employees. Indicators that a trade union is an association of employees are—

(a) the establishment and effective functioning of branches;
(b) the holding of regular meetings of members;
(c) the election of shop stewards or other trade union representatives in workplaces;
(d) the election of members as office-bearers
