9. Prior decision on legal and factual issues

(1) The arbitrator may, for good reason, decide a legal or factual issue at a special hearing separate from the main one. The judge determines the date and venue of any separate hearing.

 

(2) The arbitrator may rely on a written statement of agreed facts signed by the parties in order to decide a separate legal issue without hearing evidence.
