(1) | No person may advertise any measurable product or service to which this Act applies unless the measurement referred to in the advertisement is expressed in a manner or in terms of such measurement unit as may be prescribed for that product or service or unless he or she has obtained prior permission in writing from the Chief Executive Officer for other units to be used. |
(2) | For the purposes of this section, ‘‘advertisement’’, in relation to any measurable product or service to which this Act apply, means any commercial communication or action brought to the attention of any member of the public. |
(3) | A person that contravenes or fails to comply with subsection (1), is guilty of an offence. |
