By means of—

(a)pasteurization, cold stabilization or filtration; or
(b)treatment with egg albumen, filtering aids, bentonite, tannin, isinglass or ion exchange resins.

Heavy metals

By means of treatment with ion exchange resins.

Tartrates and other substances which could affect the stability of mead

By means of—

(a)pasteurization, cold stabilization or membrane diffusion; or
(b)treatment with tartaric acid, ion exchange resins or carboxymethyl cellulose

Undesirable flavours

By means of treatment with ion exchange resins.
