Marine Pollution (Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Act, 1986 (Act No. 2 of 1986)4. Jurisdiction |
(1) | Any offense contemplated in section 3A(1) shall, for the purposes in relation to jurisdiction of a court try the offense to be deemed to have been committed within the area of jurisdiction of the court in which the prosecution is instituted. |
(2) | Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in any law, a magistrate's court shall have jurisdiction to impose any penalty prescribed by this Act. |
