The act has been amended by the Schedule of the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act (GG26311) 28 April 2004

 

An amendment to the General Regulations (17A and Annexure A) has been applied as gazetted in GG 25537 dated 6 October 2003.

The Medical Schemes Amendment Act, 2001 (55 of 2001) as published in GG 22951 dated 14 December, 2001 has been applied to the Act.

 

Notice R.943 regarding amendments to the regulations, has been added to the Act as published in Gazette 21569 and dated 22 September 2000.

The Regulations to the Act have been amended by Notice No. R.650, as published in Gazette 21313 and dated 30 June 2000.

The Regulations have been amended by Notice No. R570, as published in Government Gazette No. 21256 dated 5 June 2000.

The list of Registered Medical Schemes has been updated as Gazetted by the Registrar of Medical Schemes, in General Notice 302 of 2000, Government Gazette 20827 and dated 21 January 2000.

The Regulations in terms of the Medical Schemes Act, 1988, as Gazetted in Government Gazette 20556 of 20 October, 1999, have been added to the Act.

The Regulations come into operation on 1 November, 1999 except for Chapters 3, 4 and 8 and Annexures A and B which come into operation on 1 January, 2000.
