126. Payment of seafarers in currency other than that mentioned in agreement

If a seafarer has agreed with the master of a South African ship for payment of his wages in South African or any other currency, payment of or on account of such wages, if made in any other currency than that stated in the agreement, shall be made at the rate of exchange in force at the time when and at the place where the payment is made.
