185. Delivery of official log-books to proper officer

The master of every ship on board of which an official log-book is required to be kept in terms of this Act shall within forty-eight hours after the ship's arrival at its final port of destination in the Republic or upon the discharge of the crew, whichever first happens, deliver the official log-book of the voyage to the proper officer at the port where the crew is discharged.
