1. Repeal and amendment of laws

The laws mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act are hereby repealed or amended to the extent set out in the fourth column of that Schedule: Provided that until all the provisions of this Act have been brought into operation in terms of section three hundred and fifty-eight, any provision of any such law which corresponds to a provision of this Act which has not yet been so brought into operation shall, in so far as it is not inconsistent with any provision of this Act which has been so brought into operation, continue to apply in relation to the ships in respect of which the provisions of this Act which have been so brought into operation apply, and in relation to the owners, masters and seafarers of such ships as if this section had not been enacted.
