349. Power to dispense with declarations and other evidence

When in terms of this Act any person is required to make a declaration, or any documentary or oral evidence is required to be produced to the proper officer, and it is shown to the satisfaction of that officer that for reasonable cause that person is unable to make the declaration, or that the evidence cannot be produced, the said officer may, with the approval of the Authority and on the production of such other evidence, and subject to such terms as he may think fit, dispense with the declaration or evidence.
