In these regulations any word or expression given a meaning in the Act has the meaning so given and, unless the context indicates otherwise
in relation to—
(a) | a South African ship, means the Authority; and |
(b) | any other ship, means the government of the State in which the ship is registered or, if unregistered, whose flag it is entitled to fly, or a person or organisation recognised by that government; |
has the same meaning as in regulation 2 of the Tonnage Regulations, 1986;
includes an unregistered ship having South African nationality;
means the Merchant Shipping Act, 1951 (Act No. 57 of 1951).
