17. Enforcement of orders for costs

An order for the payment of costs made under regulation 16 shall, on being filed with the clerk of the Magistrate's Court within the area of jurisdiction of which the Court of Survey has heard the appeal, have all the effects of and may be executed as if it were a civil judgment lawfully given in that Magistrate's Court in favour of the person who is by such order declared entitled to such costs and against the person who is by such order directed to pay such costs: Provided that if the person who is by such order directed to pay such costs is or was a master, apprentice-officer or seaman in the employ of the person who is by such order declared entitled to such costs, the amount of such costs may be deducted from any wages that may be due to such master, apprentice-officer or seaman.
