(1) | The Minister may grant exemption, on such terms (if any) as the Minister may specify, from all or any of the provisions of these regulations (as may be specified in the exemption) for classes of cases or individual cases and may, after reasonable notice, alter or cancel any exemption so granted. |
(2) | However, the Minister must not grant an exemption if to do so would be inconsistent with the obligations set out in Chapter XI-2 of the Safety Convention and the ISPS Code. |
