16. Default security level (maritime security level 1)

Unless a declaration under regulation 17 provides otherwise, maritime security level 1 is in force for each—

(a)security regulated port;
(b)South African regulated ship;
(c)area within a security regulated port; and
(d)maritime industry participant.
