(1) | The ship operator for a foreign regulated ship must— |
(a) | have a valid ISSC, or an approved ISSC equivalent, for the ship; and |
(b) | ensure that the ship carries the required ship security record. |
(2) | If the ship operator for a foreign regulated ship contravenes subregulation (1), the ship operator or the master of the ship may be given a control direction under Division 2. |
(3) | An approved ISSC equivalent is a kind of certification approved in writing by the Authority as an alternative to an ISSC. |
