Division 1 - Obligations on foreign regulated ships

85. Foreign regulated ships must have ISSCs

(1)The ship operator for a foreign regulated ship must—
(a)have a valid ISSC, or an approved ISSC equivalent, for the ship; and
(b)ensure that the ship carries the required ship security record.

 

(2)If the ship operator for a foreign regulated ship contravenes subregulation (1), the ship operator or the master of the ship may be given a control direction under Division 2.

 

(3)An approved ISSC equivalent is a kind of certification approved in writing by the Authority as an alternative to an ISSC.
