24. Issue of certificate of fitness

(1) Upon satisfactory completion of an initial or renewal inspection contemplated in regulation 23, the certifying authority must issue in respect of a vessel that complies with the requirements of these regulations a certificate of fitness, stating—
(a) the name of the vessel;
(b) the marking assigned to the vessel;
(c) the name, identity number and address of the owner of the vessel;
(d) the type and category of vessel;
(e) the overall length of the vessel and, where available, its gross tonnage;
(f) the vessel's home port; and
(g) the maximum number of persons permitted to be carried on the vessel, as determined in accordance with regulation 11(2).
