Mineral Technology Act, 1989 (Act No. 30 of 1989)

In this Act, unless the context otherwise indicates—

"Board"

means the Board referred to in section 6;

"chairman"

means the chairman of the Board appointed in terms of section 6;

"financial year"

means the period from 1 April in any year to 31 March in the next succeeding year;

"fixed date"

means the date fixed in terms of section 21;

"Minister"

means the Minister to whom the administration of this Act has been assigned in terms of section 18;

"Mintek"

means the Council for Mineral Technology referred to in section 2;

"president"

means the person appointed in terms of section 9 as the chief executive officer of Mintek;

"regulation"

means a regulation in force in terms of this Act;

"this Act"

includes a regulation.
