(1) | Pending the institution of any criminal proceedings in terms of this Act or a specific environmental management Act or the resolution of such proceedings, a live specimen that has been seized in terms of this Part may be deposited with a suitable institution, rescue centre or facility which is able and willing to house and properly care for it. |
(2) | For the purposes of this Chapter, seized live specimens may be disposed of in terms of section 30(a) of the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977. |
