I, Barbara Dallas Creecy, Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, under Government Notice No. 1100, published in Gazette 43818 on 16 October 2020 extended the commencement date of the regulations and species lists referred to hereunder to 1 March 2021. I now hereby determine that—

 

(a) the Alien and Invasive Species Regulations, 2020 published under Government Notice No. R. 1020 in Government Gazette 43735 on 25 September 2020; and

 

(b) the Alien and Invasive Species Lists, 2020 published under Government Notice No. 1003 in Government Gazette 43726 on 18 September 2020, excluding the listing of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss - Walbaum, 1792) and Brown Trout (Salmo trutta - Linneaus, 1758) as invasive species, on List 7 "National List of Invasive Freshwater Fish Species" Items No. 20 and 29,

 

come into effect on 1 March 2021.

 

The listing of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss - Walbaum, 1792) and Brown Trout (Salmo trutta - Linneaus, 1758) as invasive species, on List 7 "National List of Invasive Freshwater Fish Species" Items No. 20 and 29, in the Alien and Invasive Species Lists, 2020 published under Government Notice No. 1003 in Government Gazette 43726 dated 18 September 2020, shall not come into effect until further notice in the Government Gazette.
