36.
(1)In case of death or deaths associated with aircraft accidents, mass disasters and scuba- or other diving-related incidents, the South African Police Service must immediately notify the Chief Specialist: Forensic Pathologist of a province where such death or deaths occurred.

 

(2)The post modem examination of the deaths contemplated in sub-regulation (1) must only be performed by a registered forensic pathologist, as designated by the Chief Specialist of such a province.

 

(3)The investigation of specific categories of unnatural deaths must be managed in consultation with the Chief Specialist: Forensic Pathologist of the province where such death or deaths occurred.
