8. Penalties for contravention of regulations [Section 51(2)]

Any person who contravenes or fails to comply with any regulation prescribed by the Minister or South African Heritage Resources Agency in terms of the Act is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding R10 000 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months.
