18. Privileges and immunities of members of House

1)The House has full power to control, regulate and dispose of its internal affairs and has all such powers, privileges and immunities as may, subject to the Constitution, be prescribed.

a)Members of the House have freedom of speech in the House and its committees, subject to the rules and orders of the House.
b)Members of the House are not liable to civil or criminal proceedings, arrest, imprisonment or damages for—
i)anything that they have said in, produced before or submitted to the House or any of its committees; or
ii)anything revealed as a result of anything that they have said in, produced before or submitted to the House or any of its committees.
